Full Time / Part-Time job positions for the opening of HKD+LAC:

1. Dance / Musical Theatre Instructor, Choreographer, Performer & Intern

Responsible for train-the-trainers / choreographing / performing; should demonstrate diverse professional skills, creativity, and the ability to inspire the trainers and the talents.

Interns will assist instructors and gain practical experience in training and performing.

2. Acrobatics / Martial Arts / Gymnastics Instructor & Intern

Deliver training in acrobatics / martial arts / gymnastics.  Instructors will design safe yet dynamic programs, while interns assist in practice sessions. Applicants should possess physical discipline and enthusiasm for training and performing.

3. Image/ Makeup/ Hairstyling Instructors & Intern

Provide professional guidance and conduct courses in professional image, theatrical / characteristic makeup and hairstyling.   Interns will assist instructors and gain practical experience.

4. Costume, Accessories, and Props Production Instructors & Intern

Lead the design and production of costumes, accessories, and stage props. Instructors will supervise workshops, while interns acquire practical skills。 Experience is preferred.

5. Photography, Videography, and Film Production Instructors & Intern

Manage photography, video recording, and film editing for performances and projects promotion. Instructors will also teach technical skills, while interns assist in production.

6. Performing Arts Production, Lighting, and Sound Instructor & Intern

Performance production elements including lighting, sound, and technical setup. Instructors will train the trainers in production techniques, while interns gain backstage experience. Strong technical expertise is required.

7. Media and Online Promotion Instructors & Intern

Develop digital data and media contents, manage online training and competition platforms, social media and promotional campaigns. Instructors will also provide training in media, online set up & production, while Interns will assist instructors and gain practical experience.  Proficiency in digital editing software and knowledge in hardware are desirable.

8. Gardening, Floral Design, and Planting Instructor & Intern

Conduct workshops in growing vegetables, fruits & herbs, floral design, compost making and sustainable living. Instructors will conduct train the trainer sessions, while interns gain practical experience. Knowledge of plantation with environmental care is essential.

9. Arts & Crafts Instructors (Soap-making, Knitting & hand-stitching, Woodwork, Pottery)

Deliver courses in arts &crafts including handmade soap, “waste” recycling/reuse, knitting & hand-stitching, woodworking, and pottery; design no-waste no-pollution programs. Applicants should have hands-on expertise and teaching experience.

10. International Cuisine & homemade food Instructors / Intern

Conduct cooking workshops for healthy food, nutrition & no-food-waste awareness. Instructors will design wellness programs, while interns assist in workshops. Knowledge of nutrition, international culinary, festive food and holistic health is preferred.

11. Centre Facility Operation and Maintenance Instructors & Intern

Supervise the operation and maintenance of the centre facilities including electricity & power, water pumps, lighting, air-conditioning and natural energy generation, ensuring safety standards, and training interns in basic maintenance skills. Facility operation and maintenance with engineering knowledge are required.

12. Chinese Medicine for Traumatic Injuries / Physical Therapy & Intern

Develop and lead short- & long-term certificate courses, and train interns for gaining practical experience.

13. Performance Equipment / Gardening Facilities Manufacturers

Suppliers and manufacturers of dance & gymnastic training and performing facilities / gardening tools & equipments are invited to collaborate with us for providing high-quality resources.

14. Volunteer Teams

Volunteers are encouraged to support events, workshops, and community outreach initiatives. This is an opportunity to contribute to cultural and artistic development while demonstrating love and care society.

Let's step into the two performances that inspire generations and foretell how when culture clashes, something miraculous can happen!

Acrobaic Swan Lake 天鵝湖雜技

The China National Acrobatic Troupe has long been recognized for its ability to merge traditional Chinese acrobatics with global stage classics. Their adaptation of Swan Lake exemplifies this fusion, transforming Tchaikovsky’s timeless ballet into a dazzling acrobatic spectacle.

In this version, the familiar tale of the prince, the enchanted swan princess, and the battle against dark forces unfolds not only through ballet but also through breathtaking acrobatic feats. This classical yet innovative masterpiece traverses cultural landscapes by illuminating the universal tale of tragic love, and the tapestry of beauty in different cultural art forms. By weaving Chinese acrobatic artistry into Western ballet, the troupe creates a performance both visually stunning and culturally resonant, earning international acclaim for its originality and technical brilliance.

千手觀音

If Swan Lake represents the blend of East and West, the Thousand-Hand Guanyin embodies the spirit of inclusivity and human resilience. First performed at the 2004 Athens Paralympics Closing Ceremony and later at the 2005 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, this dance was choreographed by Zhang Jigang and performed by 21 hearing-impaired dancers from the China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe.

The choreography creates the illusion of a bodhisattva with countless arms extending in perfect harmony, symbolizing compassion and divine benevolence. Each movement is meticulously synchronized, producing a mesmerizing visual effect that evokes spiritual reverence and artistic awe.

Beyond its aesthetic power, Thousand-Hand Guanyin carries profound social meaning. It demonstrates how performers with disabilities can achieve extraordinary artistry, challenging stereotypes and inspiring audiences worldwide. The dance has since toured more than 40 countries, becoming a cultural ambassador for China and a symbol of perseverance, inclusivity, and shared humanity.
